"Uji" is located southern outskirts of Kyoto city.It flourished late Heian period (11th century ) by imperial court , especially "Fujiwara" clan who built "Byodo-in" temple.

On one hand "Uji" is known as Japanese tea production site and center of tea drinking culture in Japan.

"Kosho-ji" temple is famous for its slope approach to the gate of temple ,the name of "Kotozaka" which means the slope of Japanese harp. That slope looks like and its creek sounds like Japanese harb.
