Kinkakuji Temple

It is a temple famous for its building called ' Kinkaku Sariden' . Unfortunately it was burned down in the 1950 fire, but it was rebuilt in 1955 almost as it was.

The three-tiered luxurious Kinkaku (Shariden) has gilded gold foil in the second and third layers. Kinkaku is a unique structure that uses different architectural styles for each layer.

Nijo Castle

You can see the ruins of the Momoyama culture that has been around 400 years, such as the Ninomaru Palace, the Ninomaru Garden, and the Karamon Gate. It is Nijo Castle registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. This castle is a valuable historical heritage that has witnessed the rise and fall of the Tokugawas and the long history of Japan.

Bamboo Forest Street

From Nomiya Shrine to the Okawachi Sanso Garden, approximately 400 meters of bamboo forest.
